“Protos y Tipos” gathering is an annual event orchestrated by Ludo, the Association of Board Game Creators. It serves as a platform for authors, publishers, illustrators, graphic designers, translators, producers, media representatives, and other industry professionals to come together in an open environment. Here, they can experiment with prototypes and share their creative experiences. It is also a great opportunity to meet up with other game designers in the industry and also game publishers looking for interesting projects.
At “Protos y Tipos,” participants have the freedom to use tables to present, test, and spontaneously explore not only their own creations but also those of numerous board game authors who join in, making it a one-of-a-kind experience.
4. Verkami
Verkami is a Spanish crowdfunding platform that organises board game competitions in which the winner is rewarded with the edition and distribution of the game through its platform.
5. Zacatrus
Zacarus is a company dedicated to the creation and sale of board games. It is also known for organising board game prototyping contests. In these contests, they award prizes to the finalist prototypes and the winning game will be published by Zacatrus.
6. Tierra de Nadie
Tierra de Nadie is a festival, which is held in Malaga, is dedicated exclusively to board games and role-playing games. During the event, activities such as tournaments, games and game presentations take place.
6+1. Essen Fair (Germany)
Although it is not a national event, Essen Fair is one of the most important board game fairs on an international level and has the presence of numerous Spanish publishers and designers.
